I found out about belly casting just after I had delivered my first child. I was very intrigued by this art form and decided that for my second child I would have my belly cast. I found Francine on-line and called her to ask about her services. She treated me like she had known me my whole life and I made an appointment right then.
Francine made my belly casting experience nothing short of wonderful. When we arrived my husband and I were welcomed into a very warm and serene environment. Francine took her time with me and made me feel like my pregnant body was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen, that it was a privilege for her to cast my pregnant belly. She included my husband in every step of the process; she even had him prep my belly for the masking.
When Francine took the mask from my belly and placed the unfinished piece before me I was awe-struck. I had never seen myself from that point of view and could not believe how amazing it looked and felt as my fingers glided over its rough unfinished surface. The final piece took my breath away. The look and the feel of it was so much more beautiful and elegant than I had ever imagined.
A photo of your pregnant belly just doesn't capture the essence of this precious time. To have my body frozen in the pregnant form and the ability to touch and remember the “bump” that was the center of my world is a unique and privileged experience. Prima Bella made our emotional memory a tangible piece of art.
